First off, welcome to our Mushroom Grove Fan Club! Please expect this journal to be quite lengthy, as it has a list of standard rp/ooc rules for the MG community as well as for the Fan Club itself. The plotline is/will be posted as a story.

To submit an image to the FanClub please email it to the fanclub email or message it to us. Upload it to an image hosting site first, so it will be easy and safe to get to. Photobucket.com or Imageshack.us are good sites for this.
Please keep all images rated PG. There can be blood or romance, but please nothing inappropriate. If your image is inappropriate you will be warned. If you submit three inappropriate images, you will be barred from ever submitting any more, and your previous works will be removed.
All characters posted here are copyrighted to MushroomGrove members. You may not copy, alter, steal, change, or otherwise infringe Copyright laws when it pertains to these images. You must talk to the original artist and the character's player before using these images for anything!
Please note that changes to the FC or MG rules could change at any time!

Basic Site Rules
Failure to keep up-to-date on all announcements and rules can get you fined, or even banned. Observe this rule well. Might seem harsh, but that's how it is.
Sexual or Racist comments are not allowed
Swearing is not allowed. (using the term bitch to refer to a female dog is not swearing and is therefore allowed)
Post at least once a week
If you want to lurk on the forums, provide a post on the General Boards at least once so that we know you're a lurker. However, if you are caught stealing content, you will be forever banned and further actions may also be taken.
If you are going to be inactive, make a thread on the General Boards
All type of Roleplay (except wolfspeak) is allowed, as long as your posts are at least 100 words long. There is a word counter on the bottom of our page.
No spamming allowed. Especially not in the C-box.
According to Proboards rules, you have to be 13 or older when you register. If we catch you below this age, your account and IP shall be immediately banned. It is also against Federal United States law for a child under the age of 13 to interact on any website that requires email notification without the expressed permission of Parent or Guardian.
Respect all players. Especially staff members. If a staff member asks you to do something, don't argue. Disrespect will not be tolerated.
When needing assistance, please send a private message to Whisper or Swift.
Please do not argue with other members. This is just rude and will get your account deleted immediately. Arguments within RPs don't count.
Only dogs cats and humans can be played on this site. That means that a wolf mix or coyote mix is NOT allowed. ONLY domestic animals. If you want a wolfish looking dog, try a wolfdog breed. That means an actual dog breed, not your own creation.
When first joining you may have one character. After you have achieved fifty posts, you may create one more character. After one hundred posts, you can create the max limit of five characters. Spamming to increase post count is not allowed.

Role-Playing Rules
Be realistic. Dogs are not born with pink fur. Eyes can be green, gold, yellow, brown, blue, or grey. Fur colors can only be natural colors. Pet jewelry or pet fur dying is permitted, but please don't get things out of hand. Swift or Whisper will let you know if things get too far. Also please keep in mind the size of your dog or cat affects what he or she may or may not do.
No godmoding or powerplaying. This means you can not touch, feel, move, or hurt any other player unless you have their permission. Doing this is a serious offense and you will receive a warning from a staff member. Do it again and your account will be deleted. Yet again? You're banned.
No mating or severely adult content on the forums.
Blood and gore are allowed, but please use the *Mature* tag somewhere in the thread title. If you must, go back and edit your first post so that the name of the thread is updated.
You can have your character in more thread than once. As long as the second thread takes place AFTER the first. As in, a different time entirely. Maybe set it a week afterwards or something. Please don't be in more than two threads with one character though.
If a breed was added to the banned breeds list, and you had a character of that breed before it was added, you may still play that character. If you would like a character which is a breed that has been banned, you will have to wait until the ban is lifted.
If your character is in a fight, you and the owner of the character you are fighting against must talk it out in PM first. Figure out who the winner or looser will be. Absolutely NO killing will be permitted without posted permission. Death of oneself through suicide or saying the blow was fatal is allowed.
If your character dies.. then that's it. They're dead. No coming back if you change your mind.
Originally humans were not allowed on the site. However, people need owners for their dogs, and to have owners you need humans. Playing a human is fine, as long as it is the OWNER of a dog/cat, or a soon-to-be-owner. If you have a human character without a dog or a cat for longer than 2 weeks, you will be forced to either "get a pet" or abandon the character. Humans have no bio, but you could give information about them in their pet's profile.
You are not allowed to play 'copyrighted' characters, or characters that are based too closely on copyrighted characters. You can, however, make up a character based on a copyrighted character - human or animal - you like or relate to in a book or a tv series. For example: you would be allowed to play a dog/cat character that you based on the personality of Sawyer from Lost, but you would not be allowed to take Lady from Lady and the Tramp, basically rip off her history and personality from what we see in the movie, and upload her as a character. We see this as not putting effort or love into creating your characters.
